August Virtual Knitting Class: Piece of Toast
Welcome back to the next installment of Ellie’s online monthly knitting class.
In August we will knit slices of toast: part of a healthy breakfast or a representation of our slightly stale, crispy mental state. It’s up to you.
This class is all about picking up stitches! We will mostly be knitting flat. A tiny bit of knitting in the round, and most importantly, I’ll tell you what you need to know about picking up stitches (because sometime sewing a seam is annoying).
Format: Online via video call
Date: Tuesday, August 18th
Time: 8 – 10 PM Eastern
Price: $20
Includes: Pattern sent before class
Can’t attend live? Purchase the class to receive the pattern and a recording of this event.
You provide: light, beige-y bread yarn, plus 3-sih yarns of darker brown crust yarn. Suggested, additional optional yard of butter yellow yarn, and black or navy for embroidering an optional face.
set of 5 double pointed needles to match yarn weight (sample used size 3.25 mm or size 3US needles), darning needle, fiber fill.
A video link along with the pattern will be sent out the day before class.
