A Very Ellie Morning
Come See My Brooklyn
Wednesday, January 13th 10am-noon (optional lunch with Ellie around noon)
$45 per seat / 10 spots
In celebration of Knitting LIVE, I'll be welcoming those who've never been to Brooklyn along with those who have lived here forever on a morning adventure through my Brooklyn.
We'll start with coffee, get a special early look at Acorn Craft Shop, hop on a Brooklyn bus, visit one of my existing yarnbombs, and add our own little pieces to the street art. Then we'll walk through Prospect Lefferts Gardens to the giant Brooklyn Yarnbomb Club dragon at the Prospect Park B/Q station.
No knitting experience. No street-art experience. No idea what a yarnbomb is? Perfect.
Just bring a small piece of fiber art to contribute to the wall, and come see the neighborhood, art, and slightly chaotic creative life behind the work.
We'll officially wrap up around lunchtime, with an optional lunch at Ellie-Favorite: Pacha( for anyone who wants to keep the morning going and get a little knitting in over food).
$45 • 10 spots
The plan:
Coffee at Sit & Wonder: Meet up, grab a coffee, and get to know each other.
Acorn Craft Shop: Enjoy a special early opening, meet the owner, and browse this neighborhood craft shop before it opens to the public.
A Brooklyn bus ride: Hop on the bus and head toward Prospect Lefferts Gardens and Flatbush.
Add to a yarnbomb: Visit my existing ocean-themed yarnbomb and add your own small piece of fiber art to the installation. Participants will bring a knitted, crocheted, or other fiber-art piece from home.
Meet the dragon: Walk through the neighborhood to see the giant Brooklyn Yarnbomb Club dragon.
Optional lunch at Pacha: The official tour ends around lunchtime, with an invitation to join me for lunch afterward.
Estimated duration: 2–2½ hours, plus optional lunch.
Ticket includes: The guided neighborhood experience, visits to the yarnbombs, and the opportunity to contribute to a public artwork. Coffee and lunch are not included.
No knitting or street-art experience necessary. Just bring your curiosity and a small piece of fiber art to add to the wall.
