Emotional Support Slug Class

  • Beetle and Fred 217 Main Street Beacon, New York, 12508 (map)

Join me to experiment with freeform knitting, gastropod-style!  You'll will get a pattern and an inside look at my improvisational approach to knitting, then learn how to take that pattern and run (or crawl) in your own direction. Slugs will be knit in the round on double-pointed needles, using short rows for shaping. These techniques will be taught in class but some experience with them would be ideal.

Materials needed: Set of 5 double-pointed needles to match your yarn. 1 skein yarn, DK weight or heavier. (I will be knitting with worsted weight.) Contrasting yarn colors (2-3 yards...a great way to use leftovers). We will provide stuffing, darning needles, and a box of odd balls you can dig into.
